Purpose of Donation

CoverPic_10Aug15As human beings, it is important that we recall our nature of sharing with the poor. We have to remind ourselves of the quote “Man is a Social animal” by a great socialist. Yes! We are all connected to each other, the weak need help from the strong, just as the poor need help from the rich and the sick need help from the healthy. We need help from each other to build a better place and bring happiness in people’s lives. If you are convinced to share or donate that something you have, you are taking a step forward for the growth of your society and your nation.  Primary Needs: Most of the basic needs that can be donated are listed here. 1) Basic needs: Clothes, footwear, rugs, blankets, socks and any kind of shoes, umbrellas, rain coats, scarves and any other clothing requirements. 2) Food items: Bread, fruits, rice, any kind of vessels, glasses, water carriers, tumblers, milk containers for infants, flask. 3) Shelter requirements:  Any kind of bed frames and weaved articles and any helpful items for children. IT IS MOSTLY CHILDREN BELOW 5 YEARS OF AGE THAT ARE FOUND LACKING THE BASIC THINGS. Children do not know what it is to be rich or poor. More than all the other age groups, children below 5 years were found suffering hunger. Children who lack sufficient diet and are unable to get nutritious food are malnourished and can be found in every part of the world.  There are millions of orphaned children all over the world and they are always in need of something. After their basic requirements, their secondary needs can be met through the donation of items such as school bags, books, stationery, toys, learning materials and any kind of sport and athletic equipment. Public Service: Charity can be given by providing some of the basic requirements of the people in a crowded place. Water and any fruit juice can be provided in public places. People who are sick and feel sudden dehydration can be treated by means of this service, which is more helpful in summer. Providing useful equipment for those who are physically handicapped, using your money to buy food at lunch or dinnertime for those who could not make their livelihood is a great form of help. Let us extend our hands to the poor and let them know that they belong to the planet where humanity is never ending. Sharing is love and loving is Life!! Let us live and let others live!!!!

SUCCESS IN GIVING BACK

Every single person in the global world has imagined, envisioned and dreamed of being successful in different aspects of their lives. Unfortunately, for some, this only remains a dream but for others, the journey to success has been worth their while and they have joyfully enjoyed the fruits of it. So one may ask, why would two young people who start the same business, the very same day with the very same capital have different income flows at the end of the business year? It is simple to understand since there is quite a thin line between success and failure, which is only defined by the individual.

As it may have always seemed unattainable to majority of people, the few who dare to tread the risky path have more or less similar values or characters in common. Persistence, clear focus on their goals, self discipline, hard work and passion for what they have set out to achieve are just some of the remarkable traits that encompass the lives of successful people. From autobiographies to interviews, to forums discussed by some of the elite motivational speakers, these traits have been emphasised through them all.
One of the important traits of successful people also includes giving back to the society. As Benjamin Burt clearly put it -True prosperity is the result of well placed confidence in ourselves and fellow man. Although success may be celebrated by one man or woman, it is inevitable to acquiesce the role that their families, communities, the people they know or only heard of their stories have played to shape their lives. Therefore, the mentality that giving only makes one weak or reverses one’s efforts to attaining their goals is all but a false statement. Successful people are always excited to help others in their quest for a better tomorrow.

The 2012 list of some of the most successful celebrities in Forbes Magazine has been linked to charity initiatives around the world. These include Mel Gibson and Lance Armstrong to mention only a few who have massively donated towards the society. There is always a stronger connection and a fulfilled purpose achieved when one is appreciated for improving the lives of other people without expecting anything in return. Several organisations around the world have also been involved in charity related courses that have yielded a positive output towards education, health or the security of people who live in deplorable states with dwindled hope and despair. For example, Pact Africa, promoting the delivery of AIDS free babies in Africa and Opportunity International, influencing the lives of people in India via business loans.

However, does charity only mean that one has to have a six-figure bank account balance under their name? Not quite. Florence Nightingale gave hope to the sick out of her heart’s will. Some of the most inspiring success stories have been influenced by the mentorship or advice that people have gotten from other successful people. And so, as the saying goes, charity begins at home. One can always start with that young boy who is always walking around the neighbourhood or that office messenger that everyone looks down upon. No man is an island to fulfil all he desires by himself, therefore, by helping others around you, every single person around the world will have a wonderful story to tell.

3 Easy Ways to get started With a Charity Organisation

Similar to a business venturCharity 9e, setting up a charitable organisation entails a lot of work and a little bit of luck. Don’t get easily discouraged or frustrated if your charity does not immediately raise enough funds. It takes time and patience, some business skills, and the interest of your community stakeholders to gain traction in this field. It is best to focus your energy on what the people in your community need, or if you’re thinking globally – what is it that will improve the world. The bottom line is if you are setting up an organisation for charity purposes, how can you go wrong?
It is advisable to utilise the expertise of the Secretary of State and the IRS at the onset. The IRS may be intimidating, but the staffs are professional and helpful, especially to those who want to set up an organisation for charity purposes.
Starting a charitable organisation requires much paperwork in the beginning. However, if you are prepared, you will not have any problems getting the buy in of the governing agencies. Below are the three ways to get you started with setting up a charity organisation:
Form Your Charity
The very first things that you need to do when forming your charitable organisation is to develop your vision and define your mission statement. You will also need to find a unique name for your charity – one that is reflective of the kind of charity work that you do, create articles of incorporation, draft your bylaws, and set up your board. It may also be necessary to have a registered agent as a member of the board.
Fill Out the Paperwork
The next thing to do is to file an application form with your Secretary of State. If you have diligently conducted all the necessary actions in step one, this part should be a breeze. Upon completion of the filing of the application, you will need to get a Federal Employer Identification Number. And lastly, for this very important second step, you will need to file with the IRS for your charitable organisation to be recognised.
Get it Underway
The third and final step is to get your charity organisation underway. Start raising funds by getting the support of your community and other organisations who may be interested in extending help for charity purposes. Also, take advantage of the power of the social media by developing significant activities on Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Twitter, etc. It is also a good thing to become visible and active in your community in order to gain their support.
When you have completed all the three ways to get started with your charity organisation, you may now begin your charity work – but remember to always keep your operating expenses including fundraising costs at a minimum (below 20% of your total expenses) to keep your charity organisation alive for a very long time.

Essential Basic Tools That Are Needed and Can Be Donated

“Sharing is always good. Someone needs that what you do not need!” By Samuel Johnson. When you have something more than you require and when you have a heart for sharing it, you are really admirable. In our daily lives, we do enjoy many things. When it comes to any of our basic needs, more often than not, we have enough and sometimes, even more than needed. Therefore, we really have a responsibility to share it to the needy either through charity or donation. Charity is given to fulfil the basic needs of the poor and needy. Anything that fulfils a human need can be donated in many ways, but can only be a charity when it is donated without expecting anything in return or profit.

Ways non-profit organisations help others de-stress

charity-insuranceThere is nothing more rewarding than giving back to your community. It is a great way to make your life more fulfilling and it is a good way to help others. Charity work is one way to do this, and it is very easy to become active in one of your local non-profit organisations. In addition, non-profits can help people de-stress and can prove immensely beneficial to people in several ways. Although it is hard to find the right amount of time to volunteer, volunteer work can help you meet new people, learn new professional skills to improve your career and can positively impact your health both physically and mentally. This is why it is a good idea to find out how you can get started volunteering at a local organisation.
First of all, it is well-known how active non-profits are in the community, and how they have the ability to change lives. According to helpguide.org, they connect you to other people in ways that will make your life happier, and also help improve your social skills. The website also explains that a good way to do this is to commit to a collaborative activity in the organisation. You can practice your skills and develop new ones as well. It is also recommended to engage in charity work with your family.
The second way charity work can facilitate stress reduction is via its ability to develop your body and mind. Engaging actively in charity work has been known to increase life satisfaction and boost confidence levels, helping you see yourself in a new, positive light. Whenever you help others, you will get the feeling that you have accomplished something. Additionally, helpguide.org can also help fight depression. One reason for this is because it helps you stay in touch, and it helps you gain a support system. For example, if you decide to work with animals, it can lower stress and anxiety. There are even studies that show how volunteering can lower symptoms of heart disease or chronic pain.
The third benefit that can be derived from charity work is its thorough training, as it can help you learn valuable skills. It also provides an avenue to become more compassionate and utilise your skills to benefit others, ultimately making your life more fruitful and enjoyable. Moreover, volunteer work can help you pursue your passions. Your interests are a good way to start thinking about where you would like to volunteer, as your passion will help you stay driven. You won’t regret the fact that you became a volunteer.
