Our Purpose
Now Foundation is a UK-based non-governmental, international, humanitarian organisation dedicated to the reduction of suffering and working towards the ultimate elimination of extreme poverty in the world’s poorest countries. NOW Foundation has become a diverse network aligned behind a single vision of a world without hunger, poverty, fear or oppression.
NOW was established in direct response to the founder’s personal experience of humanitarian work in Africa, having directly witnessed first-hand the devastating impact of poverty and suffering in some communities in Africa. Dedicated to providing life-saving intervention in some of the poorest communities in Africa, Asia, and worldwide, we are committed to improving the well-being of disadvantaged adults and children, the needy most especially orphans and widows through the provision of emergency water aid, sustainable water solutions, growing of food through sound agricultural programs, outreach services, skills acquisition, workshop/seminars, symposium, free counselling and emergency healthcare services.
In keeping with our name, we strive to respond quickly and effectively to humanitarian crises as they arise – we strive to act NOW.
Through the Foundation, we have been able to affect over 300-400 people cut across different communities and countries being able to build and foster long-term relationships by listening carefully and hearing what they have to say, we have built a better future together.
The purpose of our assistance extends far beyond providing temporary relief for a short period of time. Our objective is to establish the framework and principles that will enable these communities to become self-sufficient and self-reliant. It is the commitment of our organization to work tirelessly in order to find long-term solutions for these communities in need. The people in many of these communities we work in are faced with multiple barriers in securing even the most essential elements for life – food and water.
NOW Foundation is responding to the urgent needs of today’s crises in order to save lives and transform the future. Overwhelmed with the persistent need for aid in the areas we currently worked in; we hope to increase our reach to other impoverished parts of the world. This is because even more communities are in desperate need of our help.
